Artist’s Biography:
Otto Rapp was born and received his early education in Austria. Moving to Canada he studied art at the University of Lethbridge, Alberta and earned his BFA with great distinction in 1982.

Artist’s Statement:
Initially influenced by Surrealism, I became a follower of the Vienna School of Fantastic Realism, exploring the realms of the 'Inner Universe', balancing Inspiration and Reason, exploring the world of Dreams and the Subconscious, personal and universal Symbolisms and Archetypes.

Recently, the link to this essay was included in the Austria Forum in connection with an article and book about the Viennese Artist Kurt Regschek by Dr. Peter Diem.
A few months ago, I started a Private Network of Visionary Artists on the Ning Platform with a handful of friends. Since then, the Membership has steadily grown and includes some of the very best Visionary Artists in the Universe. Many of these artists had been friends for decades, others are new to the fold. To showcase my friends and fellow members of the Private Network (which can only be accessed by members), I dedicated a page on my website to show embedded slide shows of their work, as well as links to their websites.
