Artist’s Biography:

I began as a photographer and became a printmaker after realizing drawing as a way to overcome the physical limitations of photography. Painting became a natural extension of the exploration of drawing in prints, and I now work primarily in oil on linen

Education/Training: I studied photography at Rochester Institute of Technology in the late 1970's. I studied printmaking, fresco technique, drawing, through various private courses including at Kremer Pigments in New York.

Exhibition History: Various printmaking group shows including the Boston Printmakers biennial, international print center of new york, and the new york etchers society.

Artist’s Statement:

My work is about deconstruction of the individual psyche to reach universal truths and archetypes. I utilize techniques of the surrealists such as automatic drawing and meditation to achieve these goals.
