Artist's Biography: I was fortunate to be born into a family of artists. My father Charles Stephen DuBois,a sculpture, my great uncle Guy Pene DuBois,a painter and my mother Josephine Shaw a fashion designer. They encouraged and instructed me from the very first time I picked up a pencil. My formal education started with a Manhatten, NY specialty art high school, Here I learned technique and discipline. From there I went to Pratt in Brooklyn, NY where my knowledge was broadened considerably.
