Exhibition Description:

This is Geraldine Gliubislvich's second solo show at the gallery. The show is comprised of paintings in a particular sequence or « running order », representing the systemic nature of their production process, as well as their somewhat chaotic and schizophrenic nature. This order was determined through mutations and dislocations both from the process of running from photograph to finished painting and in the relationships between the paintings within the exhibition space.

Gliubislavich’s work has a disturbingly engaging energy, despite the dark mood and the low definition of the depicted scenes. She achieves this contrast by playing with texture, luminosity and compositional strategies.

Géraldine Gliubislavich was born in France in 1978 and went on to attend the Arts décoratifs in Strasbourg and Central St Martin's, Byam Shaw in London.
