Exhibition Description:

This is a new exhibition of works by leading international artists and a central part of GSK Contemporary at the Royal Academy of Arts, curated by David Thorpe. Dark Materials will take place in four rooms of the RA and will be a major feature of their contemporary season.

The exhibition will be presented in two parts, GSK Contemporary will start with Part I: Molten States. While Dark Materials will be a component of Part II: Collision Course, which will examine visions of a post-apocalyptic world through the meeting of different art forms and media.

To represent this world, TV Santhosh has created a spectacular installation, by mouting digital timers on the backs of steel dogs, which tick away the final moments to catastrophic disaster.
